Palazzo Bottari
In the streets of the historical centre of Francavilla Fontana you can admire the beautiful Palazzo Bottari, built in 1700 by the Bottari family after the tragic earthquake of 1743. You will certainly notice the typical feature of the palace: the central body of the façade, which includes a richly decorated curved entrance arch. The dance of lines that give movement to the surface of the palace is typical of the Baroque buildings that you can admire in the town. The portal is also very distinctive, with an interesting series of decorative elements. You can observe the small details that make the entrance so spectacular: the two side pillars with ornaments in low and high relief that frame the entrance area, which is surmounted by an enormous shell of finely worked stone. The other parts of the façade are decorated with similar details, giving the palace a characteristic charm.
