Church matrice or Madonna della neve

Matrice Church or Madonna della Neve dates back to the late 1500s, located in the lively heart of the town of Latiano. From the outside you can see a balanced interplay of architectural elements in dialogue with geometric and floral motifs that give the façade great elegance.
In the centre is the main doorway and on either side are niches containing the stone statues of Saints Peter and Paul. Inside, the church is divided into three naves, which can be walked through to better appreciate the splendid paintings inside the church. Of particular interest is the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, which is separated by a stunning polychrome inlaid marble balustrade of exquisite craftsmanship. Continuing your visit, at the end of the nave, you can admire the magnificent and luminous altar dedicated to Saint Margaret, the beloved patron saint of the town of Latiano.
