San Donaci, in the land of the Messapians, is characterised by its rich wine tradition and the striking churches that dot the urban landscape. Although nestled in the Apulian hinterland, the village offers visitors an authentic experience, characterised by a unique blend of history, culture and food and wine delights.

The heart of the village, Largo Costantini, welcomes visitors with its central square, surrounded by a lively and colourful atmosphere, where you can admire the local architecture and take a refreshing break in one of the many bars and cafés that enliven the area.

One of the most important architectural treasures of San Donaci is Chiesa Matrice of Santa Maria Assunta, a symbol of historical and religious importance for the local community. Dating back to ancient times, the church boasts impressive architecture and frescoes that tell of centuries of faith and devotion.

For food and wine lovers, the local wine cellars are an essential stop, places renowned for the production of high quality wines. In the cellars, visitors can learn about the winemaking process, taste the fine local wines and buy bottles to take home as souvenirs of an unforgettable experience.

In addition to its rich food, wine and cultural offer, San Donaci also boasts a beautiful rural landscape that invites visitors to explore the surrounding countryside and the nature park Li Paduli, an oasi of biodiversity. Strolling through lush vineyards and centuries-old olive groves, visitors can immerse themselves in unspoilt nature and appreciate the beauty of the Apulian countryside.
