Sagra ti li Stacchioddi

The Sagra ti li Stacchioddi is a local gastronomic event founded in 1978 and held every first Sunday in October. Pro Loco - an organisation dedicated to promoting local tourism - organises a tasting of stacchioddi, commonly known as orecchiette, during the town's annual fair (La FERA). Accompanied by brascioli (horse meat roulades) and a glass of local wine, the meal recaptures the conviviality of the Sunday family gathering. Since 1998, the recipe book and the festival have represented a real commitment to rediscovering and valorising the priceless historical importance of Apulian culinary tradition, in order to pass it on to future generations.
